Rustoleum thins quite nicely with white spirit (to a consistency similar to that of single cream), then use a foam brush to apply - flats nicely.

I use a cheap tarp, clipped at regular spacing to the rain gutter on the van and the other side fixed to a fence (or a couple of awning poles with guy ropes) to form a rough awning - works quite well!

Just a quick tip regarding brushes (hope it helps). To apply a nice thin film of rustproofer/paint I use kids foam brushes you get in large packs in places like Hobbycraft to apply Vactan / Hydrate80. About an inch wide, relatively cheap so disposable after use. Got them as they're recommended in th...
