Hi
My vinyl wheel arch covers (interior) are in a poor state.
I could replace with carpet but would like to replace like for like.
The vw part numbers on them state 251 863 686 / 686(A).
Any ideas where I might source a pair?
Thanks

unexpected cables
Hi Just had the dash out to replace the blower motor. When disconnecting all of the cables, I labelled them to make it easier for the refit. All cables that I labelled have been put back into place and on testing the van, all the faculties (gauges, lights, etc) appear to be working as normal. Howeve...

Re: Annoying Leak! Please help
Hi One-eyed-jim Did you get your leak sorted out? I returned my van to the garage that took the roof off to cut out the rust and they found a small area that hadn't been resealed properly. We're now dry. Might be worthwhile investigating this as we had very little metalwork left holding the hi-top o...

Backfire issue
Hi Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. My 1983 1.9DG has been sat on drive for a few weeks (Drive is on a slope). I went to turn her over and when she actually started, she idled as normal for about a minute, then made a loud knocking noise and then stalled. On restarting, it sound...

Re: Annoying Leak! Please help
Thanks for the info.
I'll check it out.
Know what you mean about damage.
Just had hi-top removed as had suspicion water was running from inside. Not much of the tin top left on either side.
Had all rust cut out & replaced, all re-sealed properly.
Water still running. Annoying.

Re: Annoying Leak! Please help
Hi I've got a similar problem. Did you ever get to the source of this leak? I've just had my high top professionally removed and refitted so don't think water is coming from the gutter seals and running, yet it's still coming in. I did change the tailgate seal for a JK replacement. Not sure it's the...

By the sounds of things, this may be a bit late for you but you could try Vdubresto in Rangeworthy, South Glos.
They've just removed all the rust from under my high top roof and really happy with the work

Coolant leak
Hi I have a 1983 watercooled 1.9 T25. Coolant is leaking from the water jacket gasket when the engine is stone cold. Collecting about 200ml over a week. Have looked for leaks elsewhere that could be running - nothing obvious. No visible signs of leaking when engine running. Engine starts first time ...
