Hi Guys, my van's been off the road for a while with numerous jobs needin doin (sounds familiar I'm sure!) Anyhow, she won't start now. Cheers Beaker n Bob, yeah that is one thing to check I guess. I have ordered the two oil pressure senders as they are so cheap and will replace them as a precaution too. Havin read a bit about the oil pressure light...some say it should flash and even be accompanied by a buzzer if it's a 'real' prob...

Well, interestingly since fixing the dodgy battery earth connection the problem has not happened again! I wonder if that connection could be responsible for the alternator and regulator going into overdrive!!?? Anyhow, I'll let you know if it comes back and I've given the alternator a stearn talking...

In the meantime I've found that the earth connector on the main battery was falling apart internally, so I've made new...that would explain the heat from earlier!
