Re: Bad oil leak

The oil is running down and falling from the bottom of my oil filter. I know it’s not the oil filter that’s the problem but that’s where it ends up before it drops to the floor. I’ll try get some pictures up.

Bad oil leak

Hi. Have an 81 Aircooled. It’s had a very slight oil leak since I bought it 7 years ago but it’s never bothered me and never had problems on the MOT. The last year or so when I’ve challenged banks/inclines therefore using a lot of revs, when I stop to park up the oil absolutely pours out. It’s nowhe...

Re: Non electronic coil

I believe it has points fitted, it was like this when I bought the van 6 years ago. When I broke down the breakdown guy did some tests and suggested it was the coil. I’m guessing this is the part that’ll do the job? https://www.vwheritage.com/043905115cgen-ignition-coil-12-volt-vw-spare" onclic...

Non electronic coil

Hi. According to the breakdown guy the non electronic coil on my 1980 Aircooled has gone. I’m after a new one but finding it hard to source one. Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy one or would it be better to convert to electronic but what is the cost of this? ( I’ve just bought an el...

Gear linkage

Hi, i'm thinking of purchasing a T25 but the guy has said it will only go into 4th gear due to gear linkage underneath needing welding back. Is this a big job and would this be the cause of the problem with the gears? Cheers.

T25 Fuel problem

Hello, had my 1981 T25 Aircooled garaged over the winter, got it back on the road and its pretty chuggy but worse I'm getting about 12 miles to the gallon. Not sure if I have a leak or it just needs servicing but I had a guy out last year who lives in the stockton area who only deals in air cooled, ...

Roof space

Hi, I have a T25 tin top but with it only sleeping 2 I'm after making it a 3-4 berth for my 13 year old daughter to come away with us in the summer! I was thinking of either getting the fibreglass type roof or a pop top. I want to keep expenses down so, what is the best type to get, where I might pu...

Wanted... help with sliding door interior trim

Trim required is for the inside of the sliding door all round and the window alongside from that, i'm unsure of what type of trim I need, I bought the van with the trim missing, but there's a gap inbetween so I guess its something that fills the gap. Any help greatly appreciated. Pictures enclosed. ...
