All caps are now blue, black ones generally don't hold pressure, well everyone I test at the garage is scrap. Sounds head gaskety to me, best get it checked out properly. The cap I have on it at the moment is blue and not black. What diference could this make?
What about the filler tank, is there a standard filler tank I could get from VW with fitment and a place to fix it on the can?

Hi, I have a Riemo conversion with a Heatsource 1600 gas heater in it with an adjustable thermostat on it. Hi all, I have a Type25 Riemo which keeps blowing waterpipes. I have replaced the pipe which goes to the bottom of the water blottle and now it looks like I have to replace the multibranch (expensive one) on the top of the water bottle. It is a golf 2L diesel engine in it. The temperature guage also...

I looked on the JustKampers website and it does look like the 1.6 exhaust system.
I'll order the part and that will, i'm sure, be a good start....

When conversion was done it probably used the 1.6 exhaust.
