Doesn't Dai have storage boxes dropped into the floor of his Syncro?

Re: Sudden buzzer of doom
Let me check that I understand the way it works... The warning unit takes the signal from the low-revs/low-pressure sender UNTIL they go over 2000ish. Then the unit takes the signal from the hi-revs/low-pressure sender (the one by the water pump). So all is okay here until the revs hit just over 200...

Re: Sudden buzzer of doom
I drilled a hole in a panel, and used a self tapping screw to fix the cable to the ground (straight through the clip).

Re: Sudden buzzer of doom
Sorry for the thread revival, but the problem has reared its head once more. You may recall that I had a problem where the buzzer of doom was going off. Well, after much investigation, oil and filter change, etc, it stopped. Oil pressure is good. Then it (the buzzer) started again, and because my ga...

Re: Interior suppliers
There are loads. Just search VW T25 interiors into Google. VanWurks, Dubinteriors, vwcamperinteriors, starlight campers... Hard to believe you can't find any. Or do you mean something else? If you're thinking of building your own, then try sbmcc, buildacampervan, ckearcutconvesrions, or even Mr O'Le...

Re: Fitting side bars
I've got a pair in my shed that I bought some time ago, but have never got round to fitting. They have square pegs at either end, and these just slide into the jacking points. One of the pegs has a hole with a bolt, and that locks the whole thing into place. My worry was that they were quite difficu...

Re: New interior ideas wanted
Half my problem is that I keep changing my mind. When I first bought my bus, I purchased (at great expense) a proper Caravelle full-width folding bed/seat. That was because I wanted to keep the three-seater in the back (kids), but wanted a bed. These days, with the kids gone, I'm feeling that the fu...

Re: Potential options for modern vw petrol engines
I was thinking of something more recent - say the last five years, or are they just too technical/electrical to work in these old busses?

Re: Solar panel recommendations
I suppose the advantage of a 'fixed' panel (attached to the roof) is that it can't be stolen or left behind. Although it's working all the time, if you're parked up then you need to think about how the sun hits the roof, look out for trees and other shade, and you really need to keep it clean. You h...

It's been a few years since this page was updated - what's the latest thinking on swapping in a more recent petrol engine?

It's a stock VW badge. Stick some pictures up, and someone will identify the type for you.

Re: High Top Test Fit
Doesn't this mean that the roof is resting on the rubber seal, rather than the hi-top sitting directly on to the roof (and being glued to it)?
Will you get as good a 'stick' that way?
