Plastic tap cover sheered on Westy
I am just about to set off on my Easter travels and, as I finished cleaning and sterilising the water tank, the black plastic over on the sink tap sheered. The tap works fine with the assistance of an adjustable spanner but the plastic thread has sheered on the cover. I've tried a radiator key and o...

Re: Fitting chrome inserts to side window.
As said earlier - the link that you posted is for front and rear filler trim. AFAIK it doesn't fit side windows. That said I have just measured my Caravelle ones - the front door ones are 6.5mm wide yet the slider and back sides are the same 8mm as the windscreen and rear screen. Methinks that mine...

Re: Fitting chrome inserts to side window.
The trim is the one Imposted a picture of on the previous page. It is 8mm wide. I have done everything, bought multi tool, used warm water and washing upliquid. I have watched videos. I have pinched the tool but it still keeps coming out and if I pinchit anymore the trim won't fit through it. It is ...

Re: Fitting chrome inserts to side window.
Measure the width of your filler strip - just measured my diamond tool and it is 10mm so the 11mm one should be right, as I said earlier mine needed a squeeze with pliers to get it just right. Check your strip first though - it may be different. I have this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-TYPE-2-...

Fitting chrome inserts to side window.
I have a long strip ot chrome trim that I need to fit to the rear side window, behind the door, of my Westy. I was told to use washing up liquid in the rubber channel and slide it in. After 2 hours I still can't get the trim to slide in more than 10cm. What am I doing wrong? I am frustrated and have...

Re: Westy water tank- help needed
Thanks for the I of re access. It seems to be when I filled. I have been checking and there's still water in the tank via the tap but there doesn't seem to be anymore leaking. I will check what's happening. If its the filler connection is it possible to replace that with a new hose or such?

Westy water tank- help needed
Been having a few problems with water tank and tap. First off the fuse went on the tap, I managed to locate and replace. I now have a leak somewhere. I filled up the water tank using the external filler and ended up with water in the small cupboard next to the fridge. I think I either have a hole or...

Re: Safari room for f45 awning
I wouldn't have paid the £1100 to have it fitted myself but it is brilliant if you are parked up for more than a couple of days; loads more room, somewhere to hang your washing/outdoor gear/put table and chairs out. It is not really made for small vans like ours so the sides are really too long and...

Re: Tow bar mounted bike rack
OH was going to get one of these http://www.thule.com/en/gb/products/bike-carriers/towbar/thule-rideon-9502-_-9502 but we saw one and although it's a lovely bit of kit, it's big and not easy to store if we are away with just the van and no awning and want to leave it off the van. Then I saw one of ...
