Re: How long would a fridge work on 12V for ?
I've got an Mobicool electric coolbox as opposed to a fridge - similar to this one - http://www.worldofcamping.co.uk/mobicool-by-waeco-w48-thermo-electric-48l-coolbox-12v-230v-2483" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; We've been impressed with how long it lasts without hook-up. A...

Re: Which battery charger?
I was advised to buy this charger on this very Forum last year and did so.
I can heartily recommend it.

Re: Radio Connection Help
Standard ISO sockets by the look of it. Halfords sell them , or ebay for slightly less. Any high street autofactors should have them in fact, with the advantage that you can take the radio along to double check. Brilliant - thanks CJH. I feel like a right idiot now. I thought I looked all over ebay...

Radio Connection Help
Hi there I am having trouble sourcing a wiring "loom" (I think that's the word, anyway) which will clip into the back of my radio with the other ends of the various wires leading to speakers, 12v power etc etc. I thought this would be easy - there are loads on ebay - I even bought one but ...

Re: black smoke
Hi Hoping someone can help, its a 1.6d 1984, under load there is alot of black smoke coming out the exhaust, having had a read on the forum it all seems to point to the pump timing. Can someone confirm this as there is no apparent loss of power and all seems to run well. If this is the case is it a...

Re: Leisure Battery saver device
Heads up, I just found this one HERE on Ebay. It looks good what with the LCD meter etc. You need to add a relay, but that is dead easy. Hi Ghost I'm going to try to fit one of these. Sorry to be a pain, but could you let me have a few sentences of instruction. Eg what wires connect to what termina...

Re: Splicing underneath lighter socket
Thanks Ghost. I appreciate the advice and probably would have forgotten to disconnect the battery!! And that's a good tip re the AA or AAA battery to check the speakers. I feel fairly confident about the actual wiring. There is a sticker on the radio itself which shows what each pin is for and this ...

Hi there Got another question. Please see the two photos attached. My wiring loom arrived today and I am happy to report that it fits the back of my head unit perfectly. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/126494542@N02/14771123875/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://m.flickr...

Splicing underneath lighter socket
OK - I won't bore you with all the details but I have a handy cigarette lighter socket in the back of the van powered by the leisure battery. Without disturbing this socket (which has a multitude of uses) I want to install a cd autochanger and "set" it into the wooden worktop next to the s...

Re: Mystery switch!
I had a similar switch.
When it was on, it allowed the leisure battery to share the alternator's charge.
When it was off, only the starter battery received charge.
Never really saw much point but that's what it did.
