Re: Rev counter; waste of space - safe to rip it out?

I take your point Ian. I think the one in my WasserB was not-so-good in the first place.

Re: Best rev counter solution

Hi,
I've just taken the rev counter out of my van. Have a look at my recent post. Briefly, there's little point.
But a really sensitive one would be useful: might save leaning out of the van to listen to the misses (and missus?)
Good luck!

Re: New Ignition Loom fitted, engine starts, but...(HELP)

Try checking the earth 'crown', just to the left of the fuse box. All connections clean and firm?

So many of the electrical threads here focus on poor / intermittent earth connections.
Good luck, glad you got your van back

Re: Rev counter; waste of space - safe to rip it out?

Exactly Ghost123UK.
I found myself opening the window while driving past a long wall, or past shop windows to listen to the reflected sound and perhaps hear the more subtle 'misses'
The WasserBoxer engine bay noise suppression is excellent.
But the rev counter..... no help what so ever

Re: leisure battery

Ditto.

Just be careful to cover the terminals with some insulating material or better still use those plastic terminal covers. Nearly fried myself because I didn't think it would happen to me.

Rev counter; waste of space - safe to rip it out?

I have an after-market revcounter fitted to the dash. Its worse than useless. You even need to wind the dial anticlockwise to reset it to 0 before setting off. Given T3s delight at throwing electromagnetic wobblies, and the rats nest of wiring under my dash, I thought Id check here...... first. Can ...

Re: lpg cooker/fridge tank

Could you clarify: which 'tank' are you trying to get the gas into?

Gas (LPG) tanks normally connect to a system which uses the pressurised gas in that tank.

Re: Knock nock: who's there ? Then silence

You can often quieten noisy cv joints by grabbing the driveshafts and shaking them in and out a few times, it's no substitute for stripping and regreasing them properly but could stop the noise for a few thousand miles till you get round to doing it (I've been meaning to do mine for close to 10k mi...
