Clamping heater control cable
Hello, I am struggling to clamp the heater control cable adequately at the control valve end. The spring clip broke when adjusting it and I have tried plastic cable ties to no avail. I am told the clip is no longer available and it is an difficult area to work in up in that area. Has anyone come up ...

heater efficiency water cooled
Me again, cannot seem to find the answer in the history files. On my T25 1988 water cooled the heater never gets really hot as on a modern car. The engine gets up to temp as the electric fan kicks in but even running the engine at reasonably high revs ( which helps) it still only blows warm. The inl...

water cooled heat exchanger
OK guys so from info in the previous thread I have removed the heat exchanger from the exhaust. Now this leaves a hole in the plastic box enclosed in the rear offside body work ( see picture) should this be blanked off ? you will see there are two holes one of which was where the metal hose was remo...

Re: oil warning light and buzzer
Thank you Steve having fully researched all the material I see now there are two sensors in series electrically and it is probably a bad connection or problem sensor with the high revs / low pressure sensor ( the one that's difficult to get to ! clearly the previous bodgers had removed the LED warni...

Ok I replaced the speedo assembly with a used one as the odometer did not work on the previous speedo assemble amongst other things. I cleaned up the whole instrument pod and noticed the LED for the o...

Propex manual
Hello, has anyone got a Propex heater manual ? although installation of my used unit looks pretty straight forward I would like to cruise through the manual that someone might have got with a new unit just to make sure I am following their recommendations for example rules around locating the air in...

Re: Dim headlamps
OK gentlemen thank you very much for such good advise. I will order a couple of H4 night breaker lamps and see if they will fit into my light assemblies. If they don't then I have two options; a couple of second hand later lamps assemblies being the best option. I then may put a relay in to reduce c...

Re: Driving with fridge on gas
Thank you guys I will do that, the gas heating is much more efficient than electric (I know I have a gas tumble dryer) and my fridge draws 5 amps on 12v so alternator would be working hard, almost like having all your headlamps on all day.

slight knocking from the engine
In one of the old posts ( which I now cannot find) someone mentioned that they were getting a slight knock and was told that if the van ( mine's a water cooled DG) is standing for a while the push rod tubes ( their words not mine) stick a little "but after a good run they clear" is this tr...

Driving with fridge on gas
Is it safe to drive with the fridge running on gas instead of 12v ? have not tried this maybe the airflow through the air intake for the fridge blows it out the flame or is there a safety issue here ?

Re: Exaust fan for gas fridge
Well thank you gentlemen that was great help ( I love this forum) I did not think of cooling air from outside to cool thefins on the back of the fridge clearly that is what it does, so I have ordered a 12v fan ( which can run regardless if the van is on mains or not) and will put a switch in the cir...
