Re: Brake failure
Okay, I beg your pardon I think I may have been a little tipsy when I posted that. I actually replaced the clutch slave cylinder, not the master. I'm not suggesting the two are linked more just trying to set the scene. When the van was garaged there wasn't a problem with the brakes, now after the sl...

Brake failure
I've recently replaced the master cylinder, the van hasn't moved for a few weeks, then first time I drive it after the master cylinder op, the brakes aren't working at all. Is it possible that the work I done has affected the brakes?
Thanks all

Re: help needed - clutch problem
Do I need a bleed kit or will a jam jar and pipe suffice?
Thanks.

Re: help needed - clutch problem
There was no resistance before is tripped the master, I was told that with that problem that was a sensible first thing to look at. I guess next is to bleed it then take a look at the slave. There's no obvious leak.
Thanks for the advice so far.

Re: help needed - clutch problem
That's next on my list but I was told that getting to the slave can be a bit of a bitch? Was hoping someone would suggest something really simple.
With regards to bleeding it would that not make the clutch feel spongey? I can't put the van in gear at all?
Cheers.

help needed - clutch problem
Hi all, sorry if this has been covered but I haven't found the answer. I've got no resistance when I put my foot on the clutch pedal. I've got a 1981 2ltr. I've had the master cylinder off, stripped, cleaned and put back on and it doesn't seem to have made a jot of difference. Any ideas would be app...

Rust treatment
I've got a few areas of rust on my van and want to treat them until the time is right (I've got the money) to get them sorted properly, I was recommended Finnegan's rust beater and understand that is now part of the Hammerite range, can someone confirm if that's the best thing to use and let me know...

Re: westy joker side decals
I've got an '81 Westy Joker and when it was painted previously the decals were removed and not replaced. Sorry I can't help, but I'd appreciate the dimensions of all of the decals you've got please.
Cheers
