Re: FatMat soundproofing / insulation

Dont bother with the rip off stuff, get flash banding from any decent builders merchant just as good fraction of the price! Modified bitumen, asphalt, coal tars and all related substances are made from refined crude oil and all emit substantial levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), whic...

Re: 2.1 mv doing my head in

thanks for the reply tencent. that makes perfect sense as the van had a partially complete AC fitted when I came into possession of it. is it possible that plugging the wires together could have done any damage? over the last few days the engine has been cutting out seemingly at random... I thought ...

Re: 2.1 mv doing my head in

Re: alternative mirrors mod

i bought some turbo peep mirrors for mine, seen them on beetles before, thought they're nice and small and mount on the top of the door so neat tidy and mounted in close so no need to fold them in. just in case anyone else is thinking the same as me don't bother. they don't fit, the arms are to sma...

Re: child seats

ours is the eclipse si and it definitely fits securely with the lap belt - it's not listed on the britax website any more (it's a 2008 model) but the details on plenty of other sites say it can be used with a lap belt - i'm pretty sure it's got a diagram on the side showing how you fit it with a lap...

Re: child seats

we've got the britax eclipse si for our boy (18 months)
it fits easily with the lap belt on the r&r bed and swaps into the 3 point in our other car no worries.
got it from http://www.roofrackshop.co.uk cheaper than highstreet prices and free delivery.

Re: lap belts

get a securon one from ebay. probably get one for about £20... look here http://www.securon.co.uk/seatbelts_layouts.htm for specs and search on ebay for the part number. probably best to get one with adjustable webbing buckle. if your van was a panel originally it may not have the threaded holes on ...

Well im only telling you what i run and its spot on!!! Thats even been proved by police speed guns sat nav etc! fair enough! i just wanted to highlight that running a 195 55 r15 tyre will result in a diameter that's different from stock. going by the tyre calc thing, the speedo will over read by ab...
