So in the end decided to take it to the local VW garage, ( Thankgod the guy really knew what he was on about ) Basically in the past somebody has tryed all sorts to avoid this BOD. My mistake BY PLUG ( which could be bloody anything )I mean the one that was going into the back of the dashboard, the oil lights, Batt, etc.. all work as they should. It just seems to stop the buzzing noise.

Reading your opening post the first thing I noticed is that you said the connector on the speedo was not connected but the oil pressure light worked. So rewired both sensors up with new connectors, Yellow - Sensor on water pump Blue - Cylinderhead Still buzzing. So after following a converstaion with MOCKI ( Amazing help by the way ! ) I proceeded to earth the yellow wire starting from the connector to the sensor and finishing on the yellow wire ...

I really need to get myself a haynes,
I'm a complete beginner, I need to attached the oil pressure switch. ( Under the cylinder head )
Do i need to run this back up to something on the dash or connect it within the engine bay? ( Pressure switch under the water tank? )

ALL SORTED.
Turns out the metal plate attaching the manifold and Carb together had worked its way loose.

Hey, just wanted to double check what everybody thought of this: I'm getting fuel leaking from the carb, can't see anything when its running but after i leave it sitting overnight I have a small pond form on top of the mainfold. Arrrhh i see, That would explain the contant buzzing noise when i plugged it in. Although the Oil is at a good level ?
Could there be a problem with one of the sensors?
