Re: Syncro decoupler

Well, it looks like there's always 2 perspectives on this! I can see really valid points both ways. I guess if the VC was more affordable (the price bracket of a regular clutch) it wouldn't be such an issue. In the end, I'm going to fit a decoupler and keep the tight VC. I figure in my case, as the ...

Re: Syncro decoupler

All interesting points - My view was that a VC is the perfect 4wd for anything other than extrene off road conditions, but with front & rear lockers, would have to be extraordinary to need anything more. In terms of fuel consumption, while I'm not against any possible saving, I tend to think, it...

Syncro decoupler

Hi, The VC on my new Syncro seems to be too tight to me, stalls engine on slow turns... I don't want to break anything expensive so think I should probably invest in the decoupler sooner rather than later. I hear the Syncro services one is best (and cheapest) any other views on this? I guess for the...

T3 Additional heights of pop tops...

Hi - In relation to what might fit into a garage or parking lot, could anybody tell me what the height is from the flat channel of the roof gutter to the highest point on a Reimo Pop top roof? I'd be interested in the same measurement for a Westfalia pop top as they sometimes come up second hand. I'...

Re: High top heights for sleeping...

Thanks Yukon Syncro, ironic you should point me to a high top installer that I'd never heard of 100 miles up the road when you live on the other side of the world!!! I think I'm about 6 months off fitting it in reality as I want to sort rest of van first. I'll let you know how i get on. Thanks for t...

Re: High top heights for sleeping...

Thanks very much for the info, much appreciated. I just bought a syncro but with a tin top after all that! But I think I may look for a high roof to add to it when I do the respray, so the info is very useful. I do like the shape of the autosleeper ones, and although I know it limits access to some ...

High top heights for sleeping...

Hi, I'm just about to change my van (currently a tin top 2 wd which I love) for a high top syncro. I want to have the extra storage, and have the option of sleeping upstairs if I don't want to make up the bed below, or put surf boards and kit up top and sleep downstairs. My question ( as I've never ...

Thanks Shaun, I'll give that a go and see how I get on! I've been running around with only one wiper for long enough now and the rainy season is coming (again!)
Cheers

Wiper arms

Hi all, Does anyone know if wiper arms should have splines on the inside to mesh with the splines on the spindle? Or would the splines on the spindle 'cut' splines in the arm? All my previous cars had splines/grooves on the arm as well as the spindle. Bought a second hand one this summer which laste...

T25 Front Windscreen cracked-Help Please!!!

Hi all, My front screen has cracked, but as it is a South African van, has a built in aerial and graded blue tint along the top edge. I know I could fit a plain screen, but think I have seen screens like this on European vans. Can anybody confirm this as I would like to keep it original spec if poss...

Front Windscreen

Hi all, does anyone know if the front screen in Europe ever came with built in aerial (connection on bottom passenger side) and the blue tinted sun strip at the top? The stone chip on my 2.5i windscreen is suddenly spreading fast and I am panicking!!!
Best regards and thanks for any info or thoughts.
