This is a pic of wheel flange, look all ok to me thankfully.

Managed to get under the van to get offending drive shaft out. 1. There was some remnants of a gasket between the wheel flange and cv joint. Also on gearbox side. I couldn't see any reference to this in the Haynes or in the Wiki here. Is it required ? 2. What grease do I need to repack cv joints ? h...

they came from brickwerks as part of the cv set, they said they are all grade 10.9 steel

Not sure. Perhaps the rotating effect at different angles of the cv? Either way, they dont look up to the job. Are the Brickwerks too? Deffo serrated washers required. They came with the kit from Brickwerks.  I've ordered a new set of bolts and Brickwerks have confirmed that these bolts are 10.9 gr...

Managed to get to bolts out of cv joint, wheel side, looks like they haven't snapped off thankfully but can any suggest why the threads are worn in the way they are. The bolt on the left is one of the original ones.

Did you notice knocking noise on left hand bends before no drive?

Got cv joints from brickworks, genuine ones.

no pictures at the moment, I'll get the van jacked up tomorrow for a deeper investigation.
Not sure about circlip in place as it was the mechanic who re assembled the unit.

looking at cv joint, wheel end, I can see the cv bolts still in position even though drive shaft is floating free. Is there a likelihood that the cv bolts have sheared off from the rear wheel shaft ?

Could have thrown spare driveshaft on the beach as Sandown Bay three weeks ago. You near there?

Everywhere's near on the Island, I'm in Ryde. Mechanic normally very good, knows T3's inside out.
 

washers didn't come with new cv kits, mechanic who fitted said not needed. Perhaps therein lies the answer. I kept old bolts and washers, gave them a good clean up, just in case !

been under van this morning, offside drive shaft floating completely free at wheel end. Any ideas ?
 

Have had CV joints and boots replaced about 100 miles ago. Is there possible issue there, studs not tightened up etc

Lost all transmission. RAC man said diff gone only working one side. Is this an easy fix ?
