Re: tyre preasure
my 87 WBX 1.9 DG does 39F 48R on 185's.
What I do have a problem is a decent 12v tyre inflator that can deliver the psi needed. The Halfords one I've used for years has finally given up the ghost.

Re: autosleeper hi top window seal
Did you have any joy with this? I need a couple too! Got nowhere, tried all suppliers, it may be special seal made just for Autosleeper. Ended up taking them out, cleaned and warmed up in hot water then refitted whilst still warm and seem to create better seal. Or I may just be on wishful thinking !!

Thanks for prompt reply, is there a spring in the switch that returns the key to the running position ?

ignition switch problem ?
When I start my 1.9DG the ignition key does not spring back the run position and I have to manually position it. Is this a problem with the switch itself or is it likely to be elsewhere ?

Re: Coolant leak from inlet manifold
The inlet gaskets are all you need and they are available individually.
Will I need to replace the carb gasket ? Or does that stay on the manifold when it is being removed ?
Cheers

Thanks folks, good result.
Will need to get gasket set.

Re: Coolant leak from inlet manifold
yes core plugs are standard not specifically VW I'm guessing 24mm as it has 24 in comments but need to measure it. Somebody borrowed my spare maifold so I can't measure for you, maybe somebody else can as I doubt you can measure in situ. Itchy, Many thanks for that, yes pretty impossible to measure...

Re: Coolant leak from inlet manifold
Thanks for the comments, I had a pretty good look at the leak and it wasn't from the pipe so corroded core plug could be the problem. Are they available as spares?
Cheers

Coolant leak from inlet manifold
I have a slight constant drip of coolant from the underside of the inlet manifold. It appears to be coming from the area that part 19 shows on the underside on the attached diagram. Two questions: What is actually on the underside where this cover (Plate?) is ? Is it easy to remove and fix or replac...
