Shock Absorber Nut
Hi all, anyone know what the nut is on the top of the shock absorber/damper, I've lost one during fitting and need to get one from somewhere, the shockers were from VW Heritage. It's an '84 Caravelle, 1.9 Petrol,

I had a problem where my carb was full of gunk so van kept cutting out, I had no inline fuel filter, carb got cleaned out by the RAC bloke who opened it up and blew everything out with an air line, it ran fine after that. Another possibility is fuel pump, see if it's delivering ok to the carbs, good...

Have figured it out - was obvious - the teeth on the lever are worn and so it's going into gear, then the lever is continuing to revolve and so popping the ball out of the cup. Will get a new lever ordered but I think that the gearshift shaft teeth might also be worn, this looks like a potentially b...

Thanks for the tips, will try the gearbox selector to check the box is ok, then will start on the shiftrods. There is play but not significant movement, nothing appears to have collapsed but will start working my way through it. I was just surprised about the sudden-ness of the problem. Roll on the ...
