Ok I have an 83 Westie and I'm considering selling it cause there's to many quirky issues with it and I'm starting to hate it. It's imho a beautiful van so Firstly I'm going to try fix a few bits to see can I rekindle my love for the aul bitch. It's been converted from petrol to a 1.9 1y diesel. My ...

Negative camber
Hey guys I've just bought another t25 and it has a 1y engine conversion and the Arsenal is sagging slightly and there is a bit of negative camber in the rear.is there any simple mods I can do to cure these issues or is it a case of lowering the front a bit and living with the negative camber. Thanks...

Westy hi top to pop top
Has anyone ever changed a hi top to a poptop on a westy joker?
I'm just wondering if the cutout is the same on both.
Thanks.
Mick.

Setting Hydraulic lifters
I've just bled my lifters on my 2lt cu engine and refitted them and when I went to do the valve timing with no 1 at tdc if I turn in 1.5 turns on the tappet it is opening the exhaust valve,so much that If I shine a torch down the plug hole I can see the light trough the exhaust port,is this correct ...

Re: problem cu engine
Maybe it's a weak battery or a bad connection on the starter or a bad earth.clean all connections and make sure there tight.maybe even stick some jump leads on the battery and jump start it from the car and see does it speed up the starter.

Re: cu engine cooling flaps
Yea that's exactly what I taught, they stay closed till the engine gets up to temp and the stat expands and opens the flaps to let the air flow.so I'm concluding that cause my stat is broke that the engine was running hotter.

Re: 1981 T25 engine blew up! Advice needed.
Sounds like diesel to me.maybe disconnect the pipe at the fuel filter and drain some into a bottle and see if it's diesel.if it is drain the tank and fill to the gills with petrol and change the plugs and she should run albeit a bit smokey for a while but should be fine.

Re: cu engine cooling flaps
There was no adjustment problems, the problem is the thermostat is fully expanded and rather than replace it I taught I might just bin the set up.i think sarran done the same thing in one of his videos on the cu engine.i think I will see if I've a working stat on one of my other engines and just keep...
