It's loud but it does sound good, going through the Holmesdale tunnel on the m25 at 2am was interesting. You're right the engine does like to rev, it took a while to get my head around driving the van at higher revs. I'm not sure I'll risk 8k though!

What's your exhaust? I'd tackle that first then intake A cheap 4" clamp on exhaust from every exhaust part (eBay) onto the RMW headers. I used the exhaust of the donor legacy for a month or so but that was really loud. The plan is to get something made to measure but for £30 it was worth a go.

We managed to fit in 2 short trips last month and I'm very happy with conversion. One problem though, it is LOUD!

Time to look at the intake, exhaust and buy some dynamat.

If the numbers work out it might be something to think about. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'll be ok with spacers for a while.

It's finished! (ish). First test drive yesterday morning. I need to adjust the gear linkage, throttle cable and check the engine ground wire. But it felt good to get it out on the road at last. The thread on the selector was stripped so the relay lever was moving around. All good now which is all that matters. Looking forward to putting some miles on it asap.

Thanks to Aidan's 'while you wait' service on Friday morning the gearbox is back in and I can select all gears. I ran out of time this afternoon so will fill it with oil on Saturday and get a test drive in.

TBH I think it's quite possibly all connected fine, and your revcounter just needs the resistor mod doing. That was my experience.
