I can confirm that French Police do not speak English so have your appropriate Phrases written down. Also remember some Aires are split over both sides of the motorway and make sure you tell l them which side otherwise you can wait hours until you phone up again as nobody has arrived. Thanks guys. We booked the ferry last night. Got rtn Dover - Calais £75. Pretty good really (thanks boltonlad for the discount code). Decided to do the longer drive. Just got to work out a route now. Sounds fantastic. Have driven to Spain before, all the way down to malaga. Fuel and tolls can add up to costing more than flying though. Haven't figured out the difference between a small LPG tank to run the vehicle on or two LPG tanks in the locker to run the cooker and fridge. Hiya Steamboat....well i got the same prob....only i did av oil leak at front of engine..fixed that...still using oil though...1 litre every 70 miles....the garage tells me its noqw got to be piston rings...so shes going in on Wednsaday i think?....i had a replacement ( crashed passat 19td)...swoppp...
