Re: T25 awning

Where to start with that one? How big do you need it to be? What will you use it for? Sitting? Sleeping? Both? Do you need it to be enclosed, or would open do? Will you want "drive-away"? Have you any fixings on your van? Will you put fixings on your van, or will it attach via pole and cla...

Re: unwanted water feature in my van when it rains!

I think the small bit of rust around the windscreen is likely to be the culprit. If you can see it beyond the window rubber then it is likely to be fairly extensive underneath, and will need sorting fairly soon as it can progress quite rapidly :(

Re: Restoration costs

You could buy a "perfect" van for up to about £12-14k these days, but unless that it has a full documented history of it's maintenance and any restoration work, you could be looking at a cover up job, which may rust and require further work within 12 months of you buying it! My advice to y...

Re: What conversion is my van?

Hi Davey, Does your van have an "upstairs"? Mine has an older autosleeper interior than yours, but the same roof. We think mine was a pop top and someone chopped the rest of the roof out, and plonked a hi-top on.....but without putting any sort of brace or bed/cupboard in up top :| That us...

Re: Awnings

All very true we have two young children so just want extra sitting space on those odd rainy afternoons. Consider a canopy then. The main part is stowed outside of the van (giving more space for camping and kids stuff inside). You can get sides and a front, which will give more shelter if the weath...

Re: Awnings

Depends what you want to use it for. We have a Khyam drive away, but have only used it once or twice. We put an awning rail on the hi-top (not long after buying the drive away) and got a Caravanstore canopy. I much prefer to use this than the drive away as it does not shut us off from the outside wo...

Re: Who did this conversion?

This would have been the interior for a 1985 Autosleeper http://www.autosleeper.vwt25camper.info/html/vw_t3_autosleeper_vt20.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If it was an Autosleeper, of course. My van has this interior, but a hi-top roof has been plonked on instead of t...

Re: Who did this conversion?

The interior looks home brew with Autosleeper catches, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along with the answer.

Re: WOOD BURNERS IN VAN

I saw a T25 parked up in Wales that had a chimney coming out of the roof. I knew I should have peeked in the window because I keep thinking about it and it is doing my head in not knowing what the set up was :(
