Re: Cheap campsites

Thanks for the responses everybody. A good site to use is

http://www.365campingcaravanning.com

Which gives you details of pubs who offer camping. Some start at just £4.50 a night. Bargain!

Car park camping in York

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever wild camped in any of the car parks in York? I fancy an evening in york and was considering parking up in the Monks Bar carpark. It has overnight parking and a height restriction well above our tintop, so all looks good.
Any thoughts anyone? :?: :idea

Cheap campsites

Hello everybody, When we go camping we like to go basic; I mean a field more or less with a portaloo as an added bonus..my problem is that I begrudge spending £20 a night for posh showers and a well maintained lawn that we really don't need. Does anybody know of a good way to discover really cheap s...

Re: Diagnostic help please.....

Cheers Ian :ok E D I T - Bugger, that's the plastic one :( I'm looking for the metal one underneath by the petrol tank. Does it need to be exactly the same? I just stuck a plastic one one in place. It's only a filter, so as long as you can get it on to your pipe it should be ok. We just asked for a...

Re: Diagnostic help please.....

Thanks for all the suggestions. All much appreciated. :D
The van seems fine now. Looks like it was the fuel filter. The old one was pretty crudded up, and since fitting the new one, shes done a good test run up and down our local hills. Sounds smooth as a chutterbug again :ok :ok :ok :ok :ok

Re: Diagnostic help please.....

Well, I changed the filter at lunch time, and gave it a quick run up the road. It was bad on the way up, but better on the way back. Didn't get time to give it a good run. I'll do that come home time. It did want changing regardless. It was full of crap.

Diagnostic help please.....

Hi all. We have an 1986 1.9 petrol. I'll give you the symptoms first; When driving engine suddenly looses power and then regains. Starts to kangaroo in other words. If I down the throttle all the way while parked up, it will rev up and sometimes backfire. If only half way, its very lumpy. Will stall...

Hmm, it may be an issue with your browser and google docs. I'll post it up in html when I get time. I was busy last night with a petrol leak on the camper and tonight catching up on two lost nights of open uni work :?

I bolted everything. I didn't do any welding at all. I can't see those plates coming off in a hurry, especially with lock nuts.

My story fitting seatbelts

Hi everyone, I've written an account of my fitting seatbelts to my van. Click here http://goo.gl/MWZIr Sorry I did it as a document, but it was a lot easier to fit the pictures in how I wanted them.
