Looking for Auto Electrician in Herts
We've decided to do a European trip over the summer next year and I want to make some fixes and improvements to my van before we go, on my hit list are: Split charge - I had a subaru engine upgrade a couple of years ago and it hasn't worked since Fridge - I want to replace the fridge with another th...

Engine advice / recommendation please
I recently (drunkenly  ) purchased a project T25 from eBay that comes pretty much as a rolling shell and am looking at what engine / gearbox I should be putting in. I'll start by saying that my mechanical knowledge is very limited but I'm under no time constraint to get the van back on the roa...

This ^
We have an auto sleeper and I found the bed desperately uncomfortable, memory foam topper cut to size makes a world of difference

Re: Respray / bodywork recommendation
B&T Coachworks, near Tring, Hertfordshire did mine and did a great job two and a half years ago. They took all the windows out, doors, bumpers and lights off etc. They shot blasted the seams and other rusty bits, replaced a few panels too, before they re-sprayed it and then put it all back toge...

Re: Respray / bodywork recommendation
Graham at Mk1 Motors in Seer Green, near Beaconsfield, just over the border into Bucks. He did all the bodywork for a mate who ran a garage until a few years back, and did an utterly undetectable job when my Saab was reversed into. 01494 678936 Thank you will give them a call I'd keep to a VW colou...

Respray / bodywork recommendation
Afternoon all, we've decided our van needs a little TLC in the bodywork department; there is no major rust and everything (except one of the rear wheel arches) is solid, it's just starting to look it's age with rust bubbles popping up here and there, the lip under the front bumper and rust streaks u...

Re: Oh dear, it's terminal. Recommend me a new engine
I've weighed up the pros and cons and decided to go for an engine swap.
The van is heading to TSR engine conversions in the next week or so for a 2l Subaru conversion and a brake upgrade, she should be back with us by the end of October ready for a spot of winter camping

Oh dear, it's terminal. Recommend me a new engine
 After a week away in cornwall with the family, our bus gave up the ghost 20 miles from home. No warning or dash lights just oily smoke puthering from the back of the van followed by a complete lack of compression. We managed to coast to a halt on the hard shoulder of the M25 to await the very ...

Van won't start, turns over but won't fire
We're on holiday in Cornwall in our t25 at the moment and after a day or two of rain the van won't start. It turns over but just won't fire, almost as if it's too damp to spark Any suggestions if not started by the time we come home I can get the RAC out but if there's something I can try I can give...

Loud ticking noise from the engine
Just been out in my van for the first time in a couple of weeks and noticed a loud ticking noise from the engine any suggestions as to what could be causing it? The noise has been there a while but was not as loud and seemed to ease off after 5 minutes driving. It's an '89 1.9 petrol with 109k Thanks

Gas and electrical safety
So this weekend is going to be spent giving our newly acquired van a good clean all through, sterilising the water tanks and so on, however I'd quite like to have someone give all the internal electical and gas items the once over, can anyone recommend anywhere in the Herts / North London area? Also...
