Re: Starting problem

have you checked the earth strap on the gear box, i had similar symptoms, easy check is to connect a jump lead between the engine casing and the body of the van, i went from a convenient clean bit of engine to the tow ball.

Re: Replacing water pipes alternative

id look into the good quality hose solution if i were you, seen it don twice with huge success. they had both inserted a short length of steel pipe at key points to take up bends etc and to stop the hose collapsing when it was clipped. i know the theory behind doing the job right with stainless but ...

Re: DG engine clacking noise :(

very true, ive seen many a garden ornament sit around for years. the horror scenario always hits you first. if you end up needing spares ive a few bits and pieces waiting to go on ebay. hopefully it wont come to that. our old van on its most rattly moments needed a good 1/2 hor drive, usually after ...

Re: Very fast revs from DG 1.9

youve not just got the cable too tight have you. the cable has a clip that fits in about 5 positions where it leaves the linkage and disappears under the van.

i have a idle stabiliser that im selling if you need one
