Bin the mechanical pump and go for electrical , replace all the clamps with proper fuel clamps . If you dont know the age of the hoses , replace those as well. If its still not starting due to lack of fuel , check the floats.

Got these today from wilco motorfactors in Worksop.
Fit spot on and £16.99 .
No problem with fitting over the front hubs or the rear castelated nuts

I made a simple cover using some left over ply fir both starter and leisure battery, recessed two sections over the terminals for a bit bor clearance then covered with stretch carpet.

One of my biggest problems is the van is kept outside all the time and any cutting, welding, etc etc will be done outside . Just not good conditions to help in the prevention of the dreaded rust .

Welding question

Im going to have some welding to do on the Jambovan in the near future. When butt welding ,ie one panel up to another without a lip what size gap should i be leaving to allow for any expansion ? . Is weld through primer a good thing to use to help stop corrosion of welded areas or just it just burn ...
