Re: Rust treatment

I had to treat and replaced sections on Jambovan almost 10 years ago .
Most seam rash has appeared again but took much longer than a year .

Re: Rust treatment

The only sure way to stop it rusting is to cut it out and replace , unfortunately that isn't always an option.
So get used to doing it every year or so and be prepared for the inevitable cut out and weld In option.

Re: Oil Pressure and Temp gauges

I have cheapo gauges in our van ( EJ20 Subaru)
Water temp, oil pressure and temperature.
When out on a run just a cursory glance from time to time puts my mind at ease .
When up to temp and running they all tend to point to 12 o clock . Nice and simple.

I'm sure you have metal fairies in your area.
They appear to be able to smell it round here. Leave it out and as if my magic, next day, it's gone.

Re: Window rot panel van - solution?

I have a similar problem .
Never considered using bigger windows.
I was looking at loosing the rear windows all together but cant get a panel to replace them other than a full side replacement and that is expensive .
Where do the larger windows cine from.?

Re: Big Blue Van - Full Restoration

Well impressed , the side window repair is just what I'm looking at doing later this year .
The prospect of having to buy the full side replacement panel has been putting me off.
Great work, look forward to seeing more.

Re: Clutch issue: spongey and leak underneath

It is an easy job , even easier if you can lift the van and get easy access to it from underneath.
I carry a spare now ( bought 2 cheap ones from BW ) ooops , I was to eager with the add to basket button.

Re: T25 interior storage units

Dont use MDF , very susceptible to water damage.
Not sure how good the newer water resistant types are though now.
