Might b worth disconnecting at the pump end and trying , this would let you know if cable/linkage ok. Would imagine the prob is there(linkage/cable). Clean spindles at linkage and use gold grease(copper ease), when cable is disconnected check cable runs freely. Any frayed ends, kinks? Do you know wh...

Braw the Bus is a goer again. The solenoid was sticking, removed it and energised a few times and replaced. Then re-tuned after all the faffing about before. Sweet, will still strip carb to clean when the weather is a touch warmer.

Hi thanks for the replies, Yep i'm sure it's a Solex, not sure about the DG though, might be DF!! I couldn't hear a click from solenoid but after talking to an ole school mechanic he reckoned it totally cut the fuel off,(mmm conflicting reports) so think it's still ok.I'll check tomorrow by disconne...
