What's the most simple replacement for a 1.9dg
We've done a few scooby and a v6 cologne conversion but this customer wants something cheaper, what's the cheapest reliable replacement for a 1.9 dg, what prts are needed from the donor car and what if any special parts are needed?
Thanks in advance,
staf

Re: Best engines that fit with a little persuasion?
The last response was to dented devon. Thanks for your response too many toys I think I'm going to give the V6 a shot still as it's come from a T25 and comes with everything need to install it. Is the turbo idea not a good one then? I thought with a reconditioned gearbox geared correctly would be a ...

Re: Best engines that fit with a little persuasion?
Thanks for that mate, I spotted the wiki bit after putting that message up. Didn't think anyone would hate me for it mate but will it be a help or hindrance when selling on? I love projects like these usually sticking to old sports cars and bikes but I've kept 2 cars and a bunch of bikes that I've b...

Best engines that fit with a little persuasion?
Getting really stuck into these T25's now and the obvious issues are rust and unreliable under powered engines I've got 3 engines at the minute a 1.9 diesel out of a golf, a 2.2 V6 out of a Cortina and a Scooby turbo but what else will fit? and what else needs to be done to them to make them fit? Al...

Re: Leightweight body parts
Thing is if I make the bus more powerful without lightening, lowering and possibly stiffening it then it's going to handle like a brick! A fast brick I'll give you that but a brick none the less and i don't fancy driving something at speed that could go on an unplanned off road adventure without war...

Re: Leightweight body parts
I'd like to end up with something that will surprise people as it roars past them on the motor way, looking at doing the old Baja thing of having bigger tyres on the back with some flared arches and changing the sliding side door into one that's hinged at the top with gas lifts. I'm going to keep it...

Leightweight body parts
Hello lads and lasses! Trying to put together a fast and maneuverable bus. I've got 2 engines a scooby turbo and a 2.2 Ford V6 not sure which one to go with yet but either way I'm going to need to lighten it up a bit so it doesn't eat through engines to quick and so turns corners when I tell it to. ...
