Hi,
Did you ever find a solution to your problem with the pop top, as I've still got the same problem.
Thanks
Pete

Re: Rev counter
Thanks for that, as that is my main concern. The few cheaper ones I've looked at seem to take there signal from the coil (os my old TIM one used too on my air cooled engine) should it say in the description ?

Re: Rev counter
Markr
I have finally had chance to have a look at my ecu (been away) and they have labelled up my ecu wires, and the Tacho is clearly marked. How easy was it to wire up the cheap tacho as I think that's what I will buy.
Cheers

Rev counter
Hi, I have just had my 2l air cooled T25 engine replaced with 2l scooby from TSR Engine Conversions in Sulfolk. Still running the engine in. :-) However they had to remove my old TIM Rev Counter as it would not work with the new engine. I wired that one in myself, however I am now looking for an alt...

Re: Long journeys; starting problem (with photos)
Fantastic post. Thanks, I have managed to get my starter out, and ordered the 12mm Tap, dreading trying to remove the bush and insert the new one tomorrow morning. I managed to get a second hand starter from Dub a Freeze 2 last weekend for £35 (Autobahn show now which is pants) so just hope it's a g...

Re: Only one bolt on starter ???
It's ok. Realise what a tit I've been. I've already removed it once before when I changed my gearbox. It's the same bolt. Because I am removing starter I just presumed I had to take it off from the starter side. Doh !!! Thanks for your help.

Re: Only one bolt on starter ???
Just checked out wiki, could find yesterday that's why I posted, however in have found it know and explains that it is a strange cheesehead bolt type on the air cooled vans. (We're they pissed when designing that) still not sure what tool to use to remove the bolt though. Does a normal socket work ?...
