A few rainy days in the Peak District
We have just had a few nights away in the van in the Peak District. We stayed at the Ilam Hall Caravan Park near Ashbourne. It is a National Trust Run site just behind Ilam Hall, an old Gothic Manor now used as a Youth Hostel. They only have about twenty pitches, and are very well priced at £12 a n...

Re: Weathermen - they know n'owt!
That takes me back!
My grandparents lived in Peterborough, I used to go to Ferry Meadows all the time.
They used to do a good firework display.
Looks like the boy enjoyed it!

Re: Pop top sleeping
We have a 10 year old and a 3 year old.
The 10 year old sleeps in the roof and the 3 year old sleeps on a cab hammock across the front.

Re: sleepy spot Sherwood Pines
I was there yesterday! Don't know about a wild camping spot, I think they close all the gates and kick you out in the evening. Clumber Park have a NT campsite that's not too dear. They don't allow big motorhomes but I asked them today and we would be classed as a car and an awning your tent, so will...

Hi, I am looking at getting a Motordome Sleeper.
Does anyone know where I can go and see one up and have a look at it.
I am in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Thanks, Cliff.

Re: Day trip to Sherwood pines.
It is such a good place to go, and so close to us Ian. Everytime I come, we kick ourselves for not coming more!
Yes Matt, very breezy! Put the roof up for a few minutes. Got worried by the noise and put it back down.

You will be able to make a great slideshow video of your van with all the photos you have got and will have.
You could use I am the resurrection by The Stone Roses for the music

Re: Postage is HOW MUCH?
Hi Sleedale, I know what you mean. I hate having to pay ridiculous postage fees, it defeats the point of finding a good bargain. Just an idea, could you find where the company is based and see if anyone on here is near and could collect and get to you in a cheaper way? Or even free! Maybe not, but i...
