The company is call 'Silver screens' let them you know you need the truck mirror one. We bought it and we used it in our southern Italy trip in late March. I can confirm it per...

Re: How do you cover your front windows?
Hi everyone,
I'm in the same process of moving from internal insulation to external one, I did read on here that you use silver screen ones.
Are they still in shape after few years?
Where can I buy them?
Any experience with truck style mirrors?
Thank you

Re: Total MV Engine Rebuild 2.0
Hi everybody! Finally we get it to the closing of the engine, with DJ pistons and new camshaft! We reach this result today and we were then stuck for the cranckshaft play once the flywheel is in position. Trims and shims on the cranckshaft were ok, we checked with the manual and a friend (and we had...

Re: Hydraulic Lifters / Followers WBX
Thanks! They were filled up when they came from the shop and there was no way to push them! My question is anyway about the followers... now we have some followers in the workshop that don't want to be squeezed even after I push them with a tool (like a big flat screwdriver) but some looks pretty s...

Re: WBX
No such thing as plug n play, fuelling and ignition will require some adjustment. All aftermarket cams dictate use if the pre-1970 type 4 cam as previously discussed. Nothing ready to ship, very much a R&D project at the moment. Thanks... I think I'll get a standard cam shaft from VW Heritage...

Re: WBX
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie in rebulding engines and not a tuning-lover but I came across this thread and would like to know if this improved camshaft is a sort of plug and play thing and it's safe to use it even for me who don't want to open up the engine again in the next few years. Do I need to do ...

Re: Total MV Engine Rebuild 2.0
WOW thanks for your reply. I'm trying to contact Thomas Koch that is selling some nice parts for our VWs and looks like he has the DJ cylinder from Kolbenschmidt. When he'll replies to my emails or phone calls I will have some news... About the camshaft I had red the thread but couldnt really unders...

Hi, thanks for your reply!
What do you mean filled before fitting?
Aren't they meant to fill up once the engine starts?

Re: Total MV Engine Rebuild 2.0
Here you can see the "metal sand" I was referring to before...
and the pistons, we checked them for shape and they are alright. I want to buy new pistons and cylinder because of the more HP that I can have buy using DJ pistons.
