Cold start - usual drills. Check you’re seeing 12v at plugs and work back from there if not. If you are check plugs. Also check pump and cam timing are Bob on. As for temp, hoses are wrong way round for a start. The red/green are wrong- the one coming from side of head goes to the coolant pipe neare...

Blimey. What a ‘mare.
You can do injection rail loom in situ- just take off manaifold to rocker cover brackets. Is doable and saves sooooo much time.
Pretty much got spares of everything for looms if you need them.

Or just leave all the five speed linkage/stick stuff in, fit a four speed box and drive it in 2/3/4/5 only

3hrs very tops for both sides and that's if you have problems with ballpoint cap heads dieing on you. Then decent alignment on top to make sure

I've got 215/14 on carat alloys and they do the job with a slightly different look to the usual tyre/wheel combos.

They are also arsey apparently about fitting parts supplied by the customer claiming something about insurance wont let them, so even if I had supplied the new seal when I took it back they wouldn't fit it. :D I'm guessing it's to do with liability, or in this instance, shared liability and negatin...

Have you checked timing on VCDS? Time up cam as per an IDI then set via VCDS. Timing should be within two parameters on graph.

To do it without dti....... Leave just enough slack in pump bolts so you can the pump with the engine running. Start engine and tap pump towards cylinder head. Eventually you will hear a knocking noise, tap pump with soft head/palm of hand back towards battery until the point the knocking just stops...
