Re: Mystery switch!
Yes. The red button allows the fridge to work off 12volt whilst driving. Thanks to the person who suggested this. Brilliant! Can't get the fridge to work off 12volt when the engine is not on though. I thought it was broken Any ideas what switch combo might work?

Re: Mystery switch!
Yes. One post was right on the money. It makes the fridge work when we're driving. Brilliant! We can't seem to get the fridge to work off the leisure battery though. Any thoughts in that one? On electric hook up it works fine. Rosie

Thanks. Never could get my fridge to work off 12 volt whilst driving. That could well be it. Will test that one out.

Mystery switch!
Does anyone happen to know what the red switch in this photo is for? (Next to the choke - lights up red). We've been trying to figure it out for 4 years now but it remains a mystery. Thanks. Rosie

My fridge has started to slip out of its hole when we are travelling. Can't seem to fix it back in place any ideas?

How heavy is my van?
I'm trying to find out roughly how much my van weighs in tonnes. Need the uniform to get breakdown cover. It's not on my log book. Can anyone help? I haven't got a clue. Cheers.

New engine leak
My local garage has replaced my 1.6 diesel engine with a 1.9 Deisel from a golf. It leaks from the rocker cover. The mechanic has changed the rocker cover gasket but it still leaks. He reckons it's because the new engine is designed to be fitted upright in a golf and that In the type 25 it's fitted ...

Re: New engine advice
Thanks for the advice. The AA quoted £475 to go 120 miles! RAC would only provide roadside assistance and a tow to the nearest garage. So there appears to be no cheap way to get the van home :( Nevermind, I guess it could be worse. At least it's the end of the summer. We'll probably put the van on t...

New engine advice
A piston broke and blew a hole in my engine yesterday (type 25 1.7 diesel engine water cooled). I'm now stuck in Devon and need to get my van back to Bath (UK). Any advice on best way to get my van home (I've been quoted (£260) and how to source a reconditioned engine would be appreciated. I have no...
