Subaru Power or Diesel Conversion that is the question.
Been a while since I was last on here. so after some advice from the wise, Club 80-90 members. My old original 2.1 DJ is on its way out and showing signs that a major restoration will be required in the future. So I have decided to bite the bullet and think about having a conversion fitted. Now the ...

Which Size Wheels
My Van is currently running on 17 inch 5 spoke alloys with a 225/55 size Tyre. Personally I think they look to big. And as I am looking to have her lowered soon I think they will rub in the arches, unless you guys know better. Question is if I go for a set of 15 inch rims what size Tyre should I go ...

Re: Fuel tank Vent Hose
Have done some digging they don't make the part any more. As for the leak it's coming from the top of the vent hose where the jubilee clip attaches it to the filler neck. Going to try Volks Magic in Oldbury see if I can get one from there. Have got the tubes for the breather tubes to expansion tanks...

Fuel tank Vent Hose
Has anyone got any idea what diameter fuel hose the vent (breather) hose is between the fuel filler neck and and the fuel tank. Mine has developed a small leak and when I brim the tank it just drips petrol everywhere. Have tried the Wiki and the Haynes but can see the info anywhere.

Coolant Leaks
I have got a persistent little leak coming from my engine. I have recently had the water pump changed and just replaced all the hoses, from the Water pump to Oil Cooler etc. But the little drip is still there. It looks like it is coming from the water jacket around the left cylinder. Now I was think...

Have had a good look around today. The engine bay and around the engine are bone dry, yet to have time to get underneath so will get down to that tomorrow.

Coolant Leak
My 2.1 DJ appears to have developed a coolant leak. I can see it is dripping from the underside of the engine. Reading the WIKI it could be that the water jacket sealing rubbers have hardened and possibly caused the leak. Any ideas of a quick fix. The Wiki suggests WYNNS COOLANT SEAL. Has any one us...

Coolant Warning Light.
Help Today whilst using my 2.1 DJ Van the red coolant warning light started flashing. However the temp gauge read as normal and there were no obvious signs of overheating. I checked the coolant level in the expansion tank and its to the brim. There was no water in the top up tank but no signs of a l...

TV Antenna
Has anyone else got a camper fitted with a Vision Plus 315 Status Digital Antenna. Have tried to get a signal on the tele today, but had no joy as the Digital Amplifier supplied does not have a 12v power pack/supply. Does this have to be connected to the power in order for me to get a TV signal. And...

Kanagarooing 2.1 DJ
Having read through the last post titles this way, I am still none the wiser. My 1989 2.1 Dj has developed a kanagrooing skip in 3rd and b4th gear mainly at motorway spped when coming off the throttle and then applying gentle acceleration, its even worse when I switch to LPG. I think the problem is ...
