The end of the return pipe with the S bend goes to the sump and the other end goes to the turbo. Had to rotate the turbo housing about 10mm to get a good fit.

Hello, could anyone advise me the correct torque measurement for the manifold studs(fitted to cylinder head)on my 1.6TD? And also once the studs are in, what is the correct torque for the nuts that secure the manifold to the cylinder head?

Hello all, I’m rebuilding the exhaust and turbo my van, 1.6 td. And also the brakes. I want to use new nuts and bolts, there’s an engineer supplies local and I want to buy a selection of new nuts bolts for all the fittings. I’m aware the manifold nuts are a special bolt as are the turbo to manifold ...

I’ve bit the bullet it’s being sent off for a rebuild, I’d be worried about doing it wrong, thanks everyone.

Valve replaced with a new one. Much better now but not perfect. I’ll have a look at the flaps in the heater module.
