Thanks James
I'd considered that already and thought I'd need to build a bit of a frame for it to sit on, hopefully resulting in some under-bed storage accesible from front and rear.
cheers

Having compared lengths and widths it looks feasible (reimo interior btw)
Has anyone does this in a homebrew camper?

Outer Hebrides or Bust!
Every year at MOT time Mr B. scrapes me a pass and and warns me my 1.6 jx td has even less compression than last year. A replacement engine is clearly calling - so I disconnect the buzzer of doom, and me and the missus set off to Scotland fully expecting to end up on the back of an AA truck....but l...

Re: Boardman brothers for refurb of carb?
They fitted a water pump for me last year at 2 days notice - cheap as chips and they kindly left a 12mm spanner in the van too!
Mind you, a couple of people have pulled faces when I've mentioned them...though they didn't expand.

Re: Bog stuff
What i don't get is if your wild camping for a few days where do you "pooh" ? if not in the bog ?
In the woods/bushes! You can even dig a little hole with a spade for a 'posh pooh'!
I think this thread might need a poll starting for clarity - inny or outty!

Re: Propex exhaust racket!
Yes, it's noisy with the exhaust on...like the exhaust gas is coming out unevenly. Not making a spluttering sound or anything really loud, just an uneven rumbling.
Does that sound normal or should the exhaust be giving a more constant note?

Re: Propex exhaust racket!
Inlet and exhaut pipes are both secure, facing the correct way and the recommended distance from each other.

Re: Propex exhaust racket!
Yeah - tis new...and I will be giving propex a shout, but just wanted to make sure this exhaust humming/burbling wasn't normal. No problem with the sound coming from the actual box itself - just the exhaust. Full bottle of propane...but it's just occurred to me that maybe the regulator is shafted - ...

Propex exhaust racket!
Hi Folks I'm after some advice from all you propex users. I've just fitted a propex heater and I'm a bit surprised by the noise out of the exhaust. It sounds really uneven - if that makes sense, like a car exhaust with an uneven tickover. From inside the van it reminds me of trying to sleep ...

Re: MOT fail diesel emissions
Biodiesel is the (short-term) answer. Filled my smokey old van with it before recent MOT and it flew through the emissions test. :D The year before with a tank full of normal diesel it had only just scraped a pass, with a lenient, light-footed tester (apparently). ....smells of donuts too. B...

Paint colour matching
Hi Folks A previous owner of my van opted for a cheap, non-vw colour white respray. Has anyone ever used Halfords paint colour matching service or similar (where they actually scan the surface of your van?) I can only stretch to a few rattle cans for the seams I'm tidying up but would like the colou...

Who's running on biodiesel?
Not straight veg oil, waste veg oil or some turd distilled outta your mates shed, but proper from-the-pumps biodiesel?
I'm running a standard jx 1.6 TD and thinking about taking the plunge.
What percentage? Any issues? And how may trouble-free miles have you clocked up?
Ta for any advice
