Re: Knocking / clunking from nearside front (diesel 2wd)
Eventually tracked this down, or more accurately Chris at Birks in Chinnor did (top man). Was a loose lower shock mounting bolt on the offside, even though he and I both agreed the noise definitely sounded like it was the near side. Very happy!

Re: Heater Control Cables
Hi, I think I have a similar issue. Did you have to remove the entire dash, or is there a way to just remove the lower console & access through there?
thanks
thanks

Re: Pop top strut
These guys sorted me out http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts and were super helpful
I sent them my originals to be upgraded so I knew they'd be the right length, they turned it round within 48hrs

Re: Knackered bolt on the spare wheel carrier - replacment?
thanks. I think mine might be a random bolt as it's a lot longer than that and has some bodge of a massive square washer

Knackered bolt on the spare wheel carrier - replacment?
I've done a search on this but can't find anything. On my spare wheel carrier I can only do the bolt up finger tight; as soon as you tighten it further the weight of the carrier just pulls it out again. The bolt thread isn't great but is existent, I'm hoping the thread in the chassis isn't completel...

thanks all
I couldn't see anything obviously broken or missing but it was dark, I'll have another look in the light.

Knocking / clunking from nearside front (diesel 2wd)
Hi - I realise this is probably impossible to diagnose over the internet but I thought I would ask anyway ;) There's a knocking noise from the front of my van when driving - it's not constant but comes and goes all the time. Might correspond with small suspension movements but not big bumps, althoug...

Re: Leisure battery chalenges
Well I just checked it and the solar panel had charged the leisure battery back up to 12.33v .... not bad
I still think I will get a new battery as I won't trust that one any more.

Re: Leisure battery chalenges
Very interesting, many thanks.
So my 3-way fridge (240v, gas, 12v) should be used 240v when on hookup, 12v when driving, otherwise gas?
Many thanks, Ian
