Re: 1.9DG to 2.1DJ engine swap

You haven't got to swap any coolant pipes as the 'block ' is essentially the same. You will need all the early cooling system swapping over to the dj obviously but it's there already, the oil cooler/warmer thing needs plumbing in admittedly and having the metal pipes from the donor engine helps but ...

Re: Installing aftermarket rev counter / tacho into a petrol T25

That could be useful. Does it involve tapping into another wire, or do you need to mess with the blue plastic circuit? I think I'd rather mess the aftermarket tachometer than a 40 year old circuit board. Where have you taken the feed for the light from, just use the original one then when you 'turn...

Re: Installing aftermarket rev counter / tacho into a petrol T25

I'm guessing you've already connected the wiring for illumination but if you tap into the original clock lights it's then dimmable along with the others.

Have they actually sent it yet, I ordered one last week but had an email saying they're out of stock and refunding my PayPal account.

Just get one from Brickwerks then you'll know it's going to fit.

Re: Are these rock 'n roll hinges?

Floorboard panels are 'different'. Mmm, what do you mean by different? Are you saying if I fitted different panels, I could make it work (=move the couch backwards a little)? Well, they do seem a little overkill when it's common to use 3mm ply/hardboard but heh, who am I to judge? I doubt anything ...

Re: Lithium Leisure Battery

If possible I'd go with Titan batteries. They're the only people who I know of that have an established UK based company and specialise in batteries. There's also Fogstar and Roamer, but they are a Vape shop and camper van converters I've got a Fogstar Drift 105ah battery and so far seems pretty go...

Re: No power from Alternator to Leisure batteries.

Why not just fit a Voltage sensing relay to your existing setup, or a B2B if funds allow, and use the existing system when on hook up.

Re: Moped Racks for VW T25 Campers

Motorbike Racks (davecooper.co.uk) I used one from here for yrs, Trail bikes, Trial bikes and even a little PW for my lad. I had to adapt the 'slots' where the wheels went depending on how big they were, only disadvantage I found was lifting the bike on and off if I was on my own as you put the fro...

Re: Recommended Exhaust for an Air-cooled T25

I had the basic steel one on a WBX 1.9 some years ago and they really are shyte, loud, robs power and fouled the rear valance. Whether the air cooled motors sit a bit lower I don't know but I would imagine the charisteristics are the same. There is a stainless silencer that's a copy of the original ...
