Re: What is this part called? Below slave cylinder..
You need to buy a new clutch slave cylinder. If you don’t need to replace the whole thing just use the pushrod and rubber bellows from the new one. Changing the whole unit isn’t a bad job just make sure you give all the connections a clean up / wire brush and spray either plusgas or similar for a fe...

Re: small water leak, but from where!?
If you get a super bright torch and get into the engine bay and under the van ( front/ rear) you’ll see if there’s any blue/ pink/ white crystallisation where there’s been any leaking /spraying.

Re: Previous MOT History
You can check where the mot was done but you’ll need the number off the v5. It could have been repaired in that time. Do you have some good photos of the repaired areas ? If do post them up in here. Have a read of the wiki at the top of the page for things to look at when buying. There’s plenty of p...

Re: Advice and Reccomendations please? Fixing dodgy work!
Ed/ Sarah have given up on their new engine getting fitted. They’re going to review the situation and maybe even sell the van as it is. They’ve become disillusioned with the whole sorry episode! David. [/quote] What happened? It sounds terrible. I ended up remortgaging the house to fix mine 😅 [/quo...

Tell me about it. Wow- 2 years ago!! Steve Dawson does some great work, I love following his posts. It’s a shame there’s so many cowboys out there or companies who take the work on but then leave you waiting months/years to get your vehicle back. David. Ed/ Sarah have given up on their new...

Re: Pierburg accelerator pump leaking
Should be if it’s leaking from the cover. Easy to change or just whip off the cover and have a look at the diaphragm. Two sizes available- long or short.

Re: Front to back cooling pipes
If you have plastic pipes it’s usually the metal ends/ inserts that rot and cause leaks.
I changed mine without fully removing the tank by dropping one end and supporting it with a jack. You’ll have to reach under it to undo a couple of clips and maybe some zip ties.

Re: Pierberg 2e3 settings
3 screws undo on the side of the choke and you can move it to allow for more choke in the Winter and less in the Summer but this probablisnt your problem but handy to know.

Re: Pierberg 2e3 settings
The choke’s not coming off ?
You can move the auto choke to the Summer setting to make it come off sooner or maybe the spring is damaged .
Is the choke pull down unit ok?

When I did mine iirc I did a search and about 2.5-3 m so I’d get a 3 m length.
