No noise in neutral with clutch up and no noise either when down. Only under load. If you take your foot off the accelerator it goes away. :?

Gearbox

Hi All, 1.9DG with 4 speed g/box. When in gear at all speeds and under load there is a grating noise from what I think may be the g/box. When I dip the clutch and free wheel the noise disappears so I think that eliminates brakes or bearings but don't know if this takes drive shafts out of the equati...

May try the WD 40 on a sticker I have on the inside of the front windscreen. Only problem with removing sticker is the rest of the roof looks dirty now :(

Think problem may well be the choke pull down. Would this cause the engine when cold to "chug"(good word that) in top gear if you are not accelerating and run smoothly again as soon as you drop back into third.

Hi All,

1.9DG WBX with pierburg carb- How long should it take to heat up and how warm should it get? I am getting 12v at the supply cable but could not check out the element.
