Re: DS Tuning Germany email address
I think i tried info@ but haven't had a reply after over a week. Probably a noob question but who is mario with possible I4 adapter plates? I am after one to go in my 1990 doka and because of the extra room decided to go upright fitment and to save cash as the unique t25 diesel parts i have seen are...

Anybody on here used them before? do i have to just call them to sort out payment and shipping? Failing that any UK or European companies doing adapter plates for VW I4 Diesel into a t25 ...

Re: 1.6 CR to 1.9 1Y conversion issues
Cheers for the links and the info. There wasn't any signs of oil leak when i got the engine, it came from a local breakers and was pretty oil and dirt free when i got it, kicking myself that i didn't change it then but i need to sort some oil seals out in the gearbox and drain refill that so going t...

1.6 CR to 1.9 1Y conversion issues
I have just got out type 25 mot'd for the first time since 1994 so well chuffed with myself but now trying to sort out some niggles. Firstly the crankshaft oil seal is leaking, should never second guess myself before fitting a used engine again :D , are these the same part as fitted to the CS CR cod...

CR to 1Y conversion but need starter motor
I am in the process of finishing off a CR / CS to 1Y conversion on our bus and realised when we purchased it there was no starter motor included. I have looked in all my usual sources but cant find a starter motor on the shelf anywhere for our bus only the option to have an exisiting one recondition...

Re: CR to AEF with drive by wire, anything tricky with this swap
I have that link bookmarked from earlier which is a great help if the pump was normal but the one offered me is drive by wire so still a few odd bits to either workaround or swap over i guess.

CR to AEF with drive by wire, anything tricky with this swap
I have been offerd an AEF 1.9 engine out of a 98 caddy van, heard it running and all sounds and looks great but its got drive by wire throttle on it and not cable so not made a decision on buying it yet until i checked on here if its a tricky swap or easy enough to work around. I can pretty much hav...

Re: Is a 1.6D CS Engined T25 really that bad?
Thanks for all the info, very helpfull and pretty much made my mind up to scrap the knackered CR engine and go 1Y. I have seen some 1Y's on ebay and have the CR as a donor for sump, engine mounts etc, would i be right in assuming that i need the 1Y diesel pump or can i use the CR one? seems like mos...

Re: Is a 1.6D CS Engined T25 really that bad?
Stick a VW AGG (2 ltr Benzin) motor in it, you've got all the necessary engine mounts etc. We've just done this to a mates 1,6D, now he cruises at 120kmh with a top end of +160kph. The AGG motor is easy to find and cheap. Excepting the exhaust manifold It's a plug and play transplant. Was that fitt...

Re: Is a 1.6D CS Engined T25 really that bad?
:-) love the pics. Decision has now been taken out of my hands. In between rain today i have managed to take the head off the engine and it looks like being off the road since 1996 with head gasket problems aint done it any good at all. One of the bores is siezed solid and has major rust in it, scra...

Is a 1.6D CS Engined T25 really that bad?
Hope this is the correct section to put this in but basically i have never owned a T25 and have just purchased a 1984 Caravelle with the stock 1.6D CS Engine fitted. The van was last used on the road in 1996 and has been kept outside ever since and surprisingly its in very solid condition with only ...
