Re: window rubber sealant and paint?
I've used this stuff called Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack cure http://www.captaintolley.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It stops leaks behind the seals and worked very well.

We have an Autohomes Komet which rusted badly along this seam. We had it repaired about 5 years ago. We bought complete panel from JK and replaced the bottom 9-12 inches. When we took the furniture out we found that some of the floor along that seam had also rotted so we had to have a inch or two of...

Thanks for the diagram. The engine is now running on petrol - but only with a screwdriver across one of the terminals. So the ECU is off to the local Bosch centre where apopparently they can test it for faults (and hopefully fix it!). Otherwise has anyone out there got a spare ECU for an SS ECU? par...

Wiring diagram needed for 2.1 SS.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram(s) for all the engine wiring on 2.1 SS code engine (Digifant injection). Having melted the original loom it has now been replaced but will only run on LPG, not petrol. So we need the wiring diagram to track down any faults on the petrol side.

JP Stainless Exhausts (Macclesfield)
I've just had a JP Stainless system fitted to my DG engined Komet. I had it delivered to me and got it fitted locally. It's a great bit of kit, fitted easily, looks great and can't tell the difference sound wise. As previously said if you want something that you can fit and forget about then this is...

Just received my new DG stainless exhaust from JP. It looks a good peice of kit. Got some pics of it put together indoors - couldn't resist checking it out - but haven't the foggiest how to post them here. With the cost of a standard mild steel JK version around £270, £512 for the JP version SS seem...

14 inch tyres
I've just bought some new (well at least 15 years old and unused) 14 inch Carat alloys. Looking for recommendations for getting hold of a set of suitably rated 205/70/14 tyres.
Secondly does this wheel need a special centre cap or will one from another vw model wheel fit?

Just taken it out to double check - rough running seems pretty much the same on petrol or lpg when pottering and doesn't improve when the engine is at working temp. Mocki - how do I track a mixture fault? (I haven't altered the lpg mixture in at least a year) I didn't think that the carb did anythin...

DG ignition fault
I have DG engined van that runs quite roughly when pottering along 10-15 mph. It doesn't misfire it's just not it's usual smooth self - it kind of shunts - it also is quite lumpy on idle. At the weekend when we had to set off from cold up a v steep hill it bunny hopped away from the start and when i...
