The idle problem is only with one of the vac lines to the fuel regulator disconnected. The throttle body is a billet go westy one that has about 3000km on it.
I may have got to the bottom of it now I think. Thanks.

DJ ignition timing

I tried setting the timing this afternoon as per Bentley manual but I couldn't get the idle low enough, the manual says 850 rpm I could only get it down to 1200 or there abouts I disconnect both vac lines from the distributor and plugged them. Dis plugs disconnected and plugged together. I am obviou...

They are standard south African head lights grille and spots.
Head lights are same as European Van's.

The kind of service you don't normally get anywhere! Thanks again for giving everything up at short notice to sort it out. It's pretty much the same as a factory set up, bracket for the compressor is a bit home made but otherwise much the same. I've converted the fittings and seals to take 134 refrigerant as the old gas is no longer available. Between that and the roof tent you don't pass many petrol stations. Sent from...
