Yes I think you are right, his main line is restoring Old Minis?? he says he has worked on a couple of Bay Windows in the past and one T25. Think I need to find a more experienced local guy who knows Our vans well as he was also banging on about Gluing panels as its much stronger than spot welding??...

Welding on T3 Panel Van
I have finally stripped all the wrap off the Van and its in pretty good condition, with only a 5p sized hold in the lower front panel plus a bit of rust rash also passenger side rear arch is peppered and need replacing other than that its rock solid. I have taken it to a local bodyshop and they have...

Re: vinyl wrap on a van
Heres a picture of the back corner that I have stripped, looks like there has been an arch repair in the past, but rest of paint seems to be original?? Black paint is where the van was sprayed before wrap was put on.

Re: Strong smell of petrol in cab - possible causes?
I used to have a poptop, much the same as yourself it was a hasty buy of fleabay. Mine ended up having a new fuel tank as previous owner had removed and put back the tank minus the rubber bungs plus the tank was rotten in the usual places. But like the other replies say, check your filler neck and e...

Re: underseat sub woofer
I have put some nice JBL tweeters on the dash on pods faced towards the driver, then put some pods on the door and fitted some good sized mid speakers then amp and Sub in back right behind the Rock and Roll. The sound is pretty good and not to over the top also sound proofed front doors and rest of ...

I had a 12v Fridge running on my girlfriends Holdsworth and it used to drink the power when parked up, I started using the coolbox instead which meant my stereo and lights lasted the whole weekend

Re: vinyl wrap on a van

Re: vinyl wrap on a van
My Panel is fully wrapped, it has its plus points, cost and unlimited designes, but life span is about 2-3 years. I have had enough of mine and think its time for a Rustoleum treatment. I was quoted £700 for a full wrap in one colour, which is pretty good I guess as my original wrap was best part of...

I bought one of the Cheepy chinese adapters and ended up pulling it apart and rewiring it with decent gauge wire and connected it directly to my leisure battery fuse box, works a treat now

Re: Tailgate rubber grommet tube for wiper wires & washer pipe
I bought a set of rear door ones off a MK3 Golf on fleabay and they fitted with a bit of fiddling, not ideal but water tight and and keeps wires in order.
