Re: Unleaded V Super Unleaded
I was going to add to my previous post that I'd be less worried about what the last few years worth of fuel have done to the hoses, and more worried about what the last 25 years of UV/Ozone/Heat cycling/Salt/etc have done to them.

Re: Unleaded V Super Unleaded
I know it's an issue with 'old vehicles in general'. The reason I wondered about T25's and VW's specifically is that VW have had a massive presence in South America for a very long time, and South American countries have been using high% ethanol mixes in fuels for a very long time (sugar cane alcoho...

Re: Daft Question
Interesting idea. Think you'd be doing some serious chassis chopping to make it work though. Most FWD drivetrains sit in front of the axle line, and are quite tall. That's not really where the engine space is in a T25.

Re: Unleaded V Super Unleaded
So, Premium Unleaded may be worse for my van if my timing is set up for standard, and as I don't have the know how to change the timing, I guess I'm best off sticking with standard... If the van is timed for the lower (95RON) fuel, then running it on higher (98RON) will do absolutely nothing other ...

Re: ADVENTURE OVERLAND SHOW - Club Display Stand?
A guy called Austin Vince did an hour and a half on " How to make an overland adventure instead of a home movie" It was excellent. Really good tips. He told me about a date for next years diary. The Overland Adventure film festival. Sherbourne in Dorset, August 2013. He is running it, jud...

What's wrong with balancing a pound/euro coin on edge on the table and seeing which way it rolls?

Re: Speed advisory cameras
You realise there's loads of these signs used in the UK right?
As for 'proving' the accuracy of your speedo, I'd wager that the regulations on calibration of the warning signs are considerably more relaxed than calibration of speed cameras, so I wouldn't really say it proves anything.

Depends on the box. If you go from a four-speed commercial box to a five-speed Caravelle box it's a massive difference.
