theres a couple of CL Sites nr blackburn in clayton, very close to the M6. handy for a superb indian restaurant or Italian Restaurant... stayed at both of them, as cheaper than taxis when going to the Indian. can try and find number if they're of any interest...?

we stayed at the camping and caravanning club site. was quite nice and nice pub nearby.... google should bring up the details.

Brilliant writeup. Love reading about peoples campervan adventures. Looks great! how was the driving in italy? someone told me they were crazy.... I drove abroad for first time this year in france and spain. It was easier than i thought it would be, so considering going further afield next time. Kathy

technically no. you are supposed to self contained ie in the vehicle... also some of the stopovers are not on grass, so would be difficult...

It really was amazing! At the bottom, glorious sunshine, at the top we were walking in snow in flipflops! absolutely vantastic drive! X
