I found this lot online www.tyre-shopper.co.uk
they quote £50 for avons fitted National quoted £64.90 which is weird as the tyres get fitted by a local National branch......
they have continental vanco for £52 fitted.

Recommended standard 14" tyres - what brand?
Hi there I have to replace the front tyres (185x14C) on my 2.1 holdsworth vision. I was holding out for some alloys but none have appeared at sensible money, so i have run out of time & tread! So what brands give good grip/wear/noise all the garages down in Bournemouth seem to stock are own/budg...

PC in a van
When i was at Uni i used to study in my camper to get some peace & quiet! I found thAT a laptop lasted an ok ammount of time with an inverter, which prolonged the battery life. This did depend on how hard i was pushing the processor & graphics card, it always went flat in the end though. I g...

Welding
Hi I welded up old beetles etc with my dads arc welder but if you have the money get a mig, even a cheap one will give you much better results. Seam welds are simple with a bit of practice on a mig, with and arc you have to stich and then go back otherwise the panel will really buckle or worse still...

Camping with a baby
Hi
We went camping in April for a week with our 4 month old and he was fine. We did have electrical hookup though and a fan heater.
He was in one of those grow bags in-between us in our sleeping bags.

I bought the PH ones and they did many years service carrying 2-3 canoes, or wind surfers. The worst bit is tieing them on - a right faff. The PH ones can be adjusted in height which is handy.

Gauge update
Just an update...
Well got it back from the garage, they have fitted a genuine sender and the pointer is in the middle just where it should be.
No disco & a working temp gauge = happy Clive

Hi only had the van a few weeks so might be an easy one. Just got my van back from tha garage where they replaced both my oil sensors and fluid sensors, due to a disco effect on the dash. now when driving around town today the pointer is about 2/3 over to the right, before the work it was smack in t...
