Yacht varnish is good and also resistant to moisture, which is useful on the back of the door cards.

Seals may not be seated properly.
Windscreen washer jets not sealing.
Is it a high top?

Worth checking that the oil cooler is tight enough. Although it is sandwiched between the oil filter and the block they are held on by a nut which goes on before the oil filter. Mine had worked loose and was causing a leak.

I would say yes to the Hammerite, I have used it with good results. Now though, I have a big tin of (matching VW L90D - Pastel white) Rustoluem, so I use that. Not sure how much "better" it is at protecting metal against rust, but at it says on the tin it's good :roll: and it's the correc...
