Typos? I have asked the question and the seller assures it is 1982??

I beleive it is a 2.5 petrol water cooled 4 cylinder and I understand it is a 1982 imported from USA

Just spotted this Vanagn on Ebay and wondered about the 2.5 engine. Its an american import. Any of you guys know about these? Are they standard engines from VW?

I had Elite fit a recon 2.1DJ with carb and it runs nicely. Make sure you change the oil and filter after 500 miles. They were 2 weeks late with the work but its worth waiting in my opinion. Hope this helps

That flooring looks nice, where did you get the black trim from and how is it fixed to floor, screwed or glued? Im thinking of laminate flooring but the edging is putting me off.

The RAC won't tow a T25 with a bar, rope or those wheel lifting things, always on a truck. Too big.

I have been towed twice by the AA using a bar. However I would not risk 150 miles, and I dont think they would - it would have to be a flatbed taking you to your destination.

This noise wasnt there before I split the carb to clean it then put back together. Noisy tappets is from wear not all of a sudden (I mean very big coincidence?)

OK T3. Will the noise go away if I drive it? Or is it an expensive engine apart job?

ok say so worse case scenario it will go away if I keep driving? My actions are a direct cause of the noise not tappets etc surely?

I have had some fuelling problems, very rich and cutting out with chamber flooding. Took wiki advice and split carb to clean out from under float and needle. ( It had a layer of silt at the bottom.
