You say you have an area which is not foam covered. We have an autosleeper high top which had some old foam which had seen better days so we removed this and just re-covered with fabric. I did think after I'd posted that it doesn't make sense to start and finish in Edinburgh as we are driving up the western coast of England and it definitely makes much more sense to head towards Glasgow and then to Loch Lomond from there. Treago Farm at Crantock, just south of Newquay is a brilliant campsite. Beautiful facilities, lovely spacious pitches, although some not very flat so you might need chocks. 2 different beaches which you can walk to from the site and there is a big Morrisons a couple of miles away.
